Weekend in St Pete Beach

This past weekend Jamie and traveled down to St Pete beach. It is only about 20 minutes from our apartment and we found ourselves saying that in astonishment throughout the weekend. The weather was hot but not humid and the gulf was about 82 degrees which made it a perfect beach weekend. We spent the weekend on the sand and relaxing.

Congratulations!!!

One of the hardest parts about living in Florida is missing big events in the lives of our families. This past weekend my brother Thomas and his girlfriend Cori graduated from  SUNY Cortland and Jamie's niece Bella made her first Holy Communion. We both wish we could have been there to celebrate such special days but we wanted to congratulate them and we can't wait to celebrate with them next weekend when we are able to come home!

Our First Visitors!

Last weekend Jamie and I had our first visitors!!!! My friends from college Jen and LJ came and stayed with us for the weekend. The weekend was spent mostly in the sun since the weather has been so terrible in New York. Here are a few pictures from our fun weekend together.

Scrubs!

As most of you know I start my first day of work at Tampa General Hospital tomorrow. The first two days I have to wear business attire but on Wednesday I will wear scrubs. Happy Mother's Day!

Jamie and I would like to wish all the moms a Happy Mother's Day! We are very thankful to our moms for being so wonderful, generous and loving-they really are the best and we are both very lucky!!! We hope everyone is enjoying their special day:)

Cinco de Mayo Sunset

Last night Jamie and I walked over to our favorite bar here in Tampa called Crabby Bills to watch the sunset. Crabby Bills is a great little place right on Tampa Bay with great food, yummy drinks and a lot of locals. Jamie and I captured this picture of the beautiful sunset.

Exploring Tampa-Go Bolts!

Last night Jamie and I attended the Tampa Bay Lightning playoff hockey game vs. the Washington Capitals. The Lightning won 5-3 and swept the Caps. They have won the Southeastern Conference and now go on to play in the Eastern Conference Championship and will play either the Boston Bruins or the Philadelphia . (and yes I did know that all by myself!) Here are a few pictures from our seats, we were the third row from the top but the St. Pete Times Forum is pretty small so we were still able see everything!
